BASIC NEEDS |
| In course of long involvement with the socio-culturally oppressed and
economically exploited people, LAMP has felt a strong need of undertaking
action programmes for fulfilling the basic needs of these people. These
basic needs are Food, Clothing, Shelter, Education, Health and Freedom.
With this perspective, steps have been taken by the LAMP to make the target
people aware and united under their own organizations for organizing action
programmes to attain the above mentioned basic needs.
In this Chapter, we are mentioning about the LAMP’s action programmes
in the field of Shelter, and Sanitarion and Safe Drinking Water – preconditions
for maintaining good health, because struggles for other basic needs
are reflected in other chapters. |
