The Sanitary Mart was established at Kalyanpur, Sonamukhi with the kind assistance of UNICEF and Bankura Zilla Parishad. The production activity in the mart has been running well. Local people have been procuring mart materials for construction of sanitary latrines. During the reporting year, the mart has constructed more than 2000 individual latrines and 10 primary school latrines. In this connection, LAMP has been organising awareness generation camps, group discussions in different villages for motivation of village people to construct low-cost sanitation for protecting their health, environment from pollution and developing good living conditions.

Leaflets, posters have been published and distributed in the locality. Wall writings in market places and villages have been also done for drawing attention of local people towards Sanitary Mart.
